Red Team and Offensive Security

Penetration testing, ATT&CK, and attack simulation.

6 guides

Offensive security is the practice of attacking a system, with permission and in writing, so the people who own it find out what is broken before a criminal does. It covers penetration testing, red team operations, attack simulation, and the research that feeds both.

These guides explain what each type of engagement actually is, how they differ from a vulnerability scan, and how the industry describes attacker behavior using MITRE ATT&CK. They also cover the tools, from Kali Linux to breach and attack simulation platforms.

One rule runs through all of it. Testing a system you do not own and do not have written permission to test is a crime in most places, and it stays a crime even if you break nothing. Every exercise at HackRange happens inside our own lab.

The CEH v13 course is our offensive security path. Twenty modules, real labs, and a capstone that runs a full engagement from first scan to root.
